It is quiet amazing to hear the word "Summer Snow". Banihal experiences Snowfall in mid Summer when in normal at this time mercury touches almost 35-37 degrees. It is first time when region witnessned such kind weather change that is why it has been named summer snow.

Banihal
BANIHAL is a town and a notified area committee in District Ramban of J&K State. BANIHAL is located at 33* 25`N 75* 12` E and at elevation of 1,666 meters. 37 Km from Qazigund and 38 Km from RAMBAN. Connecting the two divisions of J&K State By Jawahar Tunnel, Banihal so called Banihal Pass.
